“Three generations of winemaking-
three generations sharing the passion for wine”.
Kurt and Gertrud Erbeldinger decided to
turn the agricultural farm into a winery in the 1960’s.
They were amongst the first to bottle their own wines and
market them under their own label while most of their colleagues
sold huge volumes to co-operatives. They soon introduced a
strict quality philosophy. Their striving for quality winemaking
had been rewarded in no time by a clientele that has been
loyal ever since.
When Kurt Erbeldinger died in 2001, his son Stefan took over
the estate. Stefan followed his father’s philosophy
of quality winemaking that offers an excellent value for money
within each price category supported by his son Christoph.
Three women have a saying at the estate.
Grandmother Gertrud, Mother Edith and Daughter Gudrun Erbeldinger-Höfferle
share the responsibilities of the day-to-day business. Sales
are thus in best hands.
